what is a quick way to lose some weight?

i want/need to lose weight. what are some quick ways to lose weight fast.

my family is doing the contest and i need to lose 25lbs in 6 months.
also i live in a small town, so i can’t join a gym so do say “join the gym”

There are plenty of ways to lose weight – but be sure you are not losing it too quickly. Losing more than a pound a week is really too fast and you are likely to gain it back – whether you win the contest or not.

Now – onto how:
Of course there’s the eating healthier . . . it’s a must. Eat breakfast every morning (proteins in the moning like meat or eggs is a great energy boost and you are less likely to be hungry after a couple hours). Increase your intake of anything green (lettuce, broccoli, green beans, etc) and don’t eat anything after 7pm. If you drink alcohol – cut it out completely to avoid taking in filler calories.

Activity is the other key component but that doesn’t mean you have to run a mile every day. Swimming is a great exercise. Walking works well too (and the dogs will love you for it). Many homes have game consoles now . . . so turn on the PS2 and start playing Dance Dance Revolution. I am currently doing that now and it’s a lot of fun as well as a great workout. The game even has a workout mode that tracks your weight, calories burned, miles jogged while playing etc.

Whatever you chose do to . . . make it fun for you. Healthy living is more than a six month competition (though it sounds like fantastic motivation). Develop a healthy lifestyle and enjoy the ride!
